Material Introduction
- PP is classified according to the position of methyl groups into isotactic polypropylene, atactic polypropylene, and syndiotactic polypropylene.
- PP has the lowest density among synthetic resins, at only 0.90~0.91g/m³, approximately 60% of the density of PVC.
- It is non-toxic and odorless, with low density, and its strength, rigidity, hardness, and heat resistance are superior to those of high-pressure polyethylene.
- It can be used at around 100°C and has good electrical properties and high-frequency insulation that is not affected by humidity.
- PP can become brittle at low temperatures and is not wear-resistant; it is also susceptible to aging.
- Common acids, alkalis, and organic solvents have almost no effect on PP.
- Among the five major general-purpose plastics, PP has the best heat resistance. PP plastic products can work for a long time at 100°C.
- Without external force, PP products will not deform when heated to 150°C.
- After the crystallization state of PP is improved using a nucleating agent, its heat resistance can be further enhanced.
